Back in July 2016 we made the decision to move Cameron into a school so he could be around some more kids his age and he has just excelled as a little person. The first week we had through the week water day, photo day and a tea party. The new school really keeps the kids busy. Here are a few photos. A few weeks ago we had Price and Princess day on Friday. In the morning Cam was not happy about his costume, but once he saw the other kids he owned it.

Geohunting lead us to this small Crystal Beach that we had never even heard of and we figured it was our secret sunset spot. Saturday we loaded up to go play with crabs and watch sunset quietly. Well it was us and another 150 people. Not so secret after all. Earlier in the morning the dog and I did an obedience event for his last leg to get his Companion Dog (CD) title. There are a group of exercises that you do and after you pass, everyone comes back and you have to do sit's and downs. The dog is required to sit for 1 minute and not move while you are across the room and then you do a 3 minute lay down as you go across the room. Mardi is solid on these two exercises. Other dogs have come right up to him, you can throw a toy and he has never moved. Except for our last round that we needed Saturday. 45 seconds into the sit he decided to stand up and just stand there looking at me with a blank look, this disqualifies us. So back to the drawling board for more training.
We were out and about Friday night. Cameron got to play and we watched a storm roll in. Pretty neat to watch how quickly your beautiful sunset turns into dark stormy clouds.
You win some and lose some. Tonight fell somewhere in the middle. Started out great, but went downhill when the little guy didn't want to move, then the mosquitos came out like crazy. Thankfully we were smart parents and brought sunscreen and bug spray. Dad is out having his fun and I just couldn't resist the little guy when he wanted to sleep with me, so he is soundly snoring next to me. The moments I will cherish.
Today, was a planned long day. I had a quick business trip down to Miami that I can only blame myself for the planning, but flew out this morning at 6:30am and then were not to arrive back home till 8pm. Our meeting was finished around 11am so we just drove back getting into town right before 6pm. This gave me the chance for some good family time. We went and visited Clear Sky Cafe and headed to the beach. Cameron ran in the sand, got soaked and we enjoyed a wonderful sunset. So glad I was able to be home earlier tonight than expected.
For Mothers Day I wanted our pictures taken, so that is what we did. A lovely photographer Greta Green was offering a Mothers Day Special that I'm glad we did not pass up. If you are local, give her a call. She worked for the shots and was all around professional and a pleasure to work with. Cameron even behaved most of the time. Big Hugs as cameron likes to say.
May 1st, 2013 - This was the last opportunity that I had to wish you a Happy Birthday. I called, we chatted. You probably received a funny card and a silly gift. Not a day goes by that you do not cross my mind. A moped goes by during lunch and I start laughing as I see you running around Marblehead on yours honking the horn, waving with a huge grin. We were the furthest apart in age and distance but had the most in common. None of us knew that 2013 would be your last year with us. In 22 years you accomplished more than most do in a lifetime. You accepted everyone and offered a helping hand wherever you stepped foot. You taught me to cherish every day and life life to the fullest. Happy 25th Birthday Chris! P.S. Mom is finding a ridiculous amount of beach glass. Do you have anything to do with this? If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it. If you don't ask, the answer is always no. If you don't step forward, you'll always be in the same place. - Chris Deerhake If a woman can't find you handsome she better find you handy. - Chris Deerhake
I'll just go ahead and end with this. It's a great day to be alive, I know the suns still shining when I close my eyes. - Chris Deerhake Here we are after returning from Ohio out enjoying the simple things in life which is a game of Frisbee and Soccer. A moment you just get lost in and truly enjoy your surroundings. I wish every day could be this all day. Will not wear hat, but will wear moss on head. Poor Mardi just wanted to play frisbee and we were making him work on his sit and stay's for pictures.
